- Easily double this stew if you have a big enough Crockpot and save half for a meal later in the week or to serve a larger crowd.
- A sprinkle of cheese, like grated Parmesan or crumbled feta, can add extra flavor to this stew.
Can I freeze this recipe?
This stew can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and reheat on the stove or in the microwave.
WHAT CAN I SERVE WITH THIS STEW?
- Bread: Warm, crusty bread is a great way to soak up the flavorful broth of a stew. Cornbread, garlic bread, or a simple baguette are great options.
- Rice or cereals: A garnish of rice or other grains, such as quinoa or barley, can help stretch the stew out and make it a more substantial meal.
- Salad: A green salad with a light dressing can add a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of a stew.
- Cookies or meatballs: These can be added to the stew as it cooks or served on the side for a high-carb option.
