In a recent interview with ES Magazine, the actress and former reality television star shed light on her decision to bid farewell to the Bravo series after a remarkable eight-season run. “Who willingly walks away from a job?” Rinna pondered in her conversation with the British outlet. “But deep down, we all knew it was time. After eight years of that kind of show… What more could I have accomplished, aside from generating more memes?”
However, Rinna shared a more profound revelation behind her departure—one that involved some unexpected maternal guidance. It all began when she had a dream about her late mother, Lois Rinna, who tragically passed away in November 2021. “She visited me,” Rinna revealed. “It may sound unbelievable to some, but while I was sleeping, I distinctly heard her voice saying, ‘It’s time for you to move on.'”
Astoundingly, Rinna sought validation for her ethereal encounter and consulted a psychic. To her amazement, the psychic confirmed her mother’s message. “Oh yes,” the psychic affirmed. “She has come to me and conveyed the same sentiment. Your mother wants you to find happiness, to pursue your dreams, but she insists that it’s time for you to depart.” Clearly moved by this spiritual connection, Rinna acknowledged, “I am undeniably guided by my mom’s presence and wisdom.”
Since joining the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in Season 4 back in 2014, Rinna has been a dynamic force alongside fellow stars Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley during her full-time tenure from Seasons 5 to 12. In January, she announced her departure from the series after an impressive decade-long engagement.
“This is the longest professional commitment I have ever undertaken in my 35-year career, and I am immensely grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the show,” Rinna expressed in a statement to People magazine. “It has been an incredible eight-year journey, and I eagerly anticipate the adventures that lie ahead.”
Rinna further disclosed that her choice to step away was influenced by the increasingly hostile reception from fans towards the show. “The world itself has become so volatile that the response we receive no longer aligns with what we’re doing,” she lamented. “I refused to live in that toxic environment. It’s not conducive to a healthy mindset.”
Reflecting on the evolution of the fan base’s reactions, Rinna shared with ES Magazine, “The dynamics have shifted drastically since my initial involvement. We have received death threats and encountered some of the most abhorrent things in writing, all because of a reality show. It’s just a trivial program. I thought to myself, ‘It’s time to move on.’ I honestly question how much longer this can sustain in the public consciousness.”
